Nobska is a fierce advocate of our
client’s interests. We seek to develop long-term relationships based upon
performance and trust. We believe trust and performance are enhanced through our
following work principles:
Exclusivity:
We work to ensure that our client is the most successful firm in its field;
consequently, we do not work for direct competitors.
Confidentiality:
Our clients’ internal data, their business issues and situation, the specific
strategies and competitive tactics Nobska develops on their behalf, and
sometimes even our clients’ identities are held highly confidential. We only
disclose such information with the express permission of the client or as
required by law.
Integrity:
We demand of ourselves honest and open communication and behavior and expect the
same of our clients. Only in such an environment can Nobska’s counsel be
informed and trustworthy. We will not flinch from providing information,
analysis, and advice in the best interests of our client even when such counsel
may be contrary to Nobska’s separate interests, including our ongoing engagement
as advisors. Our individual and collective reputations for candid, fact-based
analysis and scrupulous integrity are essential to our success as strategic
advisors and we will not compromise this principle.
Collaboration:
We work jointly with our clients to solve problems and develop pragmatic
strategies. We combine our client’s business acumen, company and industry
insight, and personnel resources with Nobska’s expertise in strategy
development, problem solving, customer and competitor analysis, and relevant new
processes and technologies. Collaboration leads to superior analysis and
successfully implemented strategies at a minimum cost to our client. Working
closely with management, we build a common understanding of the critical
dynamics essential to achieve and maintain market leadership and optimize
profitability and business value. This understanding provides a cohesive
framework for communication and analysis and imbues all client decision making.
Innovation:
We continually challenge ourselves and our clients to innovate: to find new and
better ways of achieving objectives. Innovation requires a willingness to be
transformed by experience and an openness to change. We work with our clients to
develop ongoing tools and processes fostering continuous learning and
experimentation.
Individuality:
Nobska does not subscribe to any specific management theory or fad. We do not
attempt to fit any pre-packaged solution to our client. Instead, we utilize a
wide variety of strategic principles, approaches, and models, preferring to
allow our client’s individual factual reality dictate our strategic analysis of
threats and opportunities and resulting recommendations. We always seek to
develop a thorough and unique understanding of the economic drivers of the
business, customer and competitor dynamics, technology and other environmental
influences. We believe that passionate focus upon the critical factors driving
sustainable competitive advantage is essential to the achievement of
extraordinary long-term performance and growth in business value. Nobska’s
counsel consistently informs and reinforces this focus.
Selectivity:
As a “boutique” strategy consulting firm, Nobska is structured to accept only a
limited number of client assignments concurrently. Since we often elect to earn
a portion of our compensation through equity involvement, our judgement on which
engagements we select is essential. We seek only those opportunities in which we
believe Nobska’s counsel has the potential to increase our client’s business
value a minimum of ten times our fees. Equally important, our engagement must
have the full support of the chief executives essential to the decision making
process. Our client must also share our values of integrity, collaboration, and
innovation.
Compensation:
We believe in the value of our counsel, and when appropriate, we welcome the
opportunity to receive a portion of our compensation in equity participation or
other success-based formulas, directly aligning our interests with those of our
clients.
